Im in gold, not claiming to be an expert... but my opponents seem to be vary from silver to plat to the point where i very rarely am up against other gold players. my first thought was.. If im in gold should i not be playing against people in gold? if im playing 2's with a friend, I constantly find that we will vs some silvers win, then get moved up and play against platinum/diamond and get smashed about 3 games in a row then start playing a mixture of mostly 80% silver 20% gold win another couple then have 3-5 games in a row against plat/diamond n get smashed. while this is annoying for us as we enjoy games that are 'squishy' which challenge us, smashing silvers then getting smashed ourselves against plat/diamond is rather repetitive and somewhat unrewarding.
in 1's i find that the difference between silver and plat is somewhat irrelevant. the skill against some silver players to whom i win and lose to is sometimes if not just as good as some players in platinum to whom i win and lose to as well. so basically my questions are: 1. any1 else finding themselves stuck in this repetitive cycle of games in 2's? 2. any1 else finding that the skill level in 1's from silver to plat is somewhat the same? This is becoz less ppl playing in 4v4, so the system team up you with some silver so that you won't wait too long while searching game.
If you are playing fixed team, the game will mostly favored your team, however when you get to face with plat/dia player, it may become evenly match. "BUT" fixed team have advantage when play with random team becoz random team will always mixed some silver/bronze player, so if random team have some noob who don't even know how to fend 6 pool, you guys will have higher win rate even it is evenly match game. So get fixed team to overcome this situation in 4v4. If you are fixed team and still facing this problem, then your team need more training. After all, 4v4 is mean Teamwork, even your opponent are dia/plat, without teamwork, they will lose in 4v4 too, that's y most 1v1 player don't like to play in 4v4 becoz "lone ranger" don't work in 4v4. |

Sorry, I should mentioned team game, not only specify 4v4. He did mentioned he play with his friend, so I consider he meant team game. |

im bronze and I get plat players sometimes :(
anyway what does 'exclamation mark' means beside your name in the league division table? I know an up arrow means you rise in ranks and a down arrow means lowered, but I have a "!" symbol which I have no clue what it is about. |

The gold silver bronze thing doesn't matter. You get matched based on some hidden rating you have.
I am only bronze but i get matched with sliver and gold players more then anything else. I win a few i lose a few. Same goes with the bronze players i get matched with. Something’s the system can't take into account. 1) Player is playing off race. 2) Players name is used by someone else who is better or worse then them. 3) Sometimes people ahve good or bad days. 4) Net connection issues? I have played some people ranked a lot higher then me and i think how the hell did you get so high as their skill level and game awareness is just terrible. Also some people lower then me appear to be solid and good players’ with great awareness and skill. The ranking gold, plat etc is meaningless to me All that is important is that we i get a 1 v 1 match up i know that i have a chance to win and a chance to lose. I know I am in for a tight competitive game |
