Why does people say Terran is OP?

Just like what the title says, I'm curious why do most people say that Terran is OP?
According to what I've read so far in forums, Terran is the most "convenient" and most forgiving out of all 3 races, for example: - You want early harass? Get some Reapers. Sneak them up your opponent's mineral line. Micro them a bit. ???. Profit. - Forgot to scout, or too lazy to send a scout? Scan. See x tech that your opponent is going for. Counter. ???. Profit. - DTs swarming your base? Scan, and hope your defenses could handle them.(Although this kinda makes sense since Ravens take a long time to show up, compared to the Protoss Observer and the Zerg Overseer) - Supply blocked? Supply Drop. Profit. - You're not using your bunker anymore? Salvage. Profit. - Those big mean protoss soldiers are bothering your fragile little marines that doesn't stand a chance against those big mean Protoss Shields? Ghost, EMP, ???, Profit. - Marines. Fragile, but has a large DPS and it can be massed VERY easily, and it's cheap too. Need more firepower? Stimpack. Profit. ...And the list goes on... What are your takes on this? FYI I kinda play Terran. |

lol how did I know someone would bring this back up...
I have a few reasons why Zerg is OP though... Forget to build multiple production facilities? Larvae. Profit Harassment takes out whole mineral line? Larvae. Profit 2 200/200 armies crash? Larvae. Profit They have ground units? Larvae. banelings. Profit They have ground splash units? Larvae. Broodlords. Profit They have Air units? Fungal growth. Profit. Only 1 i have for protoss is: They killed half my army? warp in. Profit |

Try playing one season as a Zerg and then you'll find your answer.

That was "Why do people always find terran the OP Race?" by McRooster i saw where this guy got his things from, someone a couple of days ago in NA posted a thread very similar to this (including his complaints), and he thought it would be funny to bring it into SEA. btw to the OP, 0/10 |

Here's my opinion. It's just a little bit overpowered, in the sense that it is more forgiving than the other 2 races. In higher levels, people more or less say "it's close to balanced", but that is because people make less mistakes there. In lower levels, where mistakes are made all the time, Terran players can immediately make up for their mistakes (centering on the OC's new abilities) that would screw up the other races. Also, Terran has the most 'usable' units, while Protoss and Zerg have to be picky at what they add to a unit composition. HotS, should and must, of course, fix this. And I thought the other thread like this was shutdown. |
It was. Someone made another one because he thought it would be funny. >.> Anyway, about the forgiveness of the terran mechanics. I also believe that zerg becomes more forgiving at medium level of play. At around platinum is when zerg players have gotten their ability to inject well, they know their timings on it, they know how to hold early pressure, and suddenly the spawn larva mechanic is now a much stronger mechanic for the midgame than it is in bronze. By comparison to the queue up mechanic of terran, I found it pretty easy to out-macro a terran, just because the mechanic of spawn larva pays off the most at that level by comparison to the queue up mechanic. Whereas the other races' mechanics are still moving towards the skill cap. |

by that do you mean ghosts, thors and bc's together?0.o |
