That is highly situational. Having 45 drones should fund 3 hatches of speedlings.
Once your nat is saturateed, however, your first thought should be to take a third. A macro hatchery should come afterwards. EDIT: Repeated for emphasis: The amount of larvae you need to fund your army depends on your build, your army composition, and whether you are teching. |

four hatcheries. ling heavy builds should have 2 macro hatches or more. no its not because your macro sucks or anything. 7 larvae may seem like alot but u need 40 seconds to spawn 4 more larvae... thats not a lot seriously. juz drone like a maniac on 1 gas and you'll be swimming on minerals, so spam those hatches.

two hatcheries both at differnet minreal lines for A) more minning B) faster production of units C) just more room to do things.... make sure queens are at all hatcheries and keep producing lava.... then build three upgrade chambers... upgrade your uints and mass produce hydra since there really good all round attack uints and then SWARM your oppount :) this has never failed me.... in 1v1 :)

Good attack units?, yes, great for mass production?, if your opponent has a brain, then no, they will melt, faster than butter, on the sun, in the middle of a solar storm. |
