What Daxx (and we're all) saying is that; take everything with a grain of salt.
It is speculation. You are being speculative in a... well in a Fakuna style. The one that is overzealous with your values. I didn't explain what I meant very well... and I'm not sure how. Anyway. To get to your question that I think we're all a bit unsure of: What should the community do with the reveal at this point? Well here's what I think it is: Discuss on the conceptual level the additions proposed for HotS. That is: Not the individual units and its perks etc (since they're all subject to change), but the reasons blizzard wants to put them in there - And then discuss if you think these changes are the right way to adress these isues. I.e its not that Replicant is imba/cost too much/whatever. Ok, so why do protoss (arguable the hardest to recover from macro blows to worker lines) given the ONLY unit in the game for harrassment that must return numerous times to become effective...?
Lets face it, after the first 1-2 attempts, the tower/marine-pod or spore/queen(s) left to deal with it will easily limit it's effective harrassment options/ and or kill it outright Mules insta recover Terran economy (ergo so many scv-tanking pushes) and Zerg gets 6 (per hatch) AT A TIME to quickly recover their worker count.... Even with Chrono only on nexus (to prevent this is why all our build and research times are so long) to make them [almost] double speed we still struggle to recover from a 5-10 probe BFH/muta/ling-run [etc...] loss? I understand not wanting to add to the 'deathball' (though supply would limit that anyway!?!?) effect that 'toss MUST have to be effective, but limiting abilities to kill workers... not really addressing the core harrass problem? *edit punctuation and grammar |
