I MADE 100 FRIGGIN ROACHES @ 5 MINS AND STILL HELLIONS GET UP INTO MY MAIN AND BURN ALL I HOLD DEAR TO ASHES, I FEEL LIKE BLIZZ NEEDS TO ALLOW AN OPTION TO VETO ZVT OR SOMETHING.
I THINK THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO VETO MATCHUPS INSTEAD OF MAPS, BECAUSE LET'S FACE IT THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MAPS, CEPT XEL NAGA MAYBE. if anyone responds in caps i will report you for trolling. |

Did you position the Roaches near your ramp? Making 100 Roaches to defend hellions is useless if they aren't near the entrance to your base to ward of the hellions.
Next time if it happens consider doing a counter attack. 100 Roaches by 5 minutes generally hardcounters any build your opponent goes. |

Chase stop so goodie goodie and helpful to trolls that don't deserve it.

Chase stop so goodie goodie and helpful to trolls that don't deserve it. I approve of giving advice in threads like this. It means that non-trolls like me who end up reading it at least get something out of it. |

Chase stop so goodie goodie and helpful to trolls that don't deserve it. Muex one of the most common forms of early harrassment in ZvT is the reactored hellion push. Depending on the player is how many they're gonna throw at you. Once they've done the damage they generally swap the factory out with teh rax and pump marines and get siege tanks. There's a simple reason why they do this. Roaches are the standard unit used to deal with hellions, and siege tanks smash the living !@#$ out of roaches. Marines are great against everything. The best and easiest way to deal with hellions is A) Know they're coming and B) get a few roaches. The easiest way to know that hellions are coming is if you scout a reactor being built on the initial wall off barracks. You can easily scout it with a ling or a worker by running up the ramp and down again. The moment you see it throw down a roach warren. I also build 1 spine @ my natural and sometimes get an extra queen specifically for creep. Creep spread is very important. When you see the reactor start spreading creep like a boss. Position your queens and roach at your ramp to your natural so the hellions can't runby into your main. It's important not to overcommit on the roaches. you only need enough to stop the hellions. It's also important to keep sending ling scouts. You want to know if he's trying to %^-* you with banshees or if he's going to commit to tanks.. or both. You also want to know if he expands. If he expands you've got breathing room to take your third and stay ahead. Whatever he gets it's generally safe to assume there's gonna be a fair wack of marines in the mix due to the reactor he would have swapped back onto his barracks, so go ahead and get a bane nest too... keep spreading that creep like a boss... From this point it's just a matter of winning a battle and expanding. winning a battle and expanding. Don't gimp yourself by staying on roach ling bling for the remainder of the game. Be sure to tech up when it's safe to do so. |

make one well placed spine have 3 to 4 roaches at ramp and wall in with an eo chamber, macro hatch and a 2nd spine at 7 minutes. I do this everygame vs terran because they always go reactored hellion pressure then i do muta harrase because they usually will expand and with all that production wont have enough for turrets right away or if they go fr a tank marine push shortly after the mutas pick of tanks and reinforcement marines rallying to your base while 20 or so banes or some iinfestors with those early roaches plus some more will powned and attack they throw at u on one base after but rememmber that u need to wall in with macro hatch and evo so that theres a small gap making it hard for hellions to attack.
edit: and dont wall in if they only do 4 hellion pressure and dont commit to the 12 plus blue flame heliions later on that u sometimes see so scouting is key, Also speelings deal with helliomns well with good placement just watch out for if he goes blue flame mass push then u will need roahes or more wueens and definetly a wall in with evo and hatch abd 2 spines

Zerg maxed out before Terran can make 4 hellions? I'll beleive it |
\ i can get you a replay if you want, however i was hacking at the time for more money, no one questions a good Zerg macro player ^_^. |
yez sim city is very fun to play in sc2 a hatch or evo chamber to block the entrance into your main should be enough to deter them from trying to run up it, and build a spine crawler close to your mineral line |
|
You don't need roaches to hold of hellions, thats stupid. The roaches will get demolished by thor/tank later on so whats the point? Get spine crawlers and 1 extra queen. Save your gas for a muta harass or infestors to counter his MM ball.
Spread creep tumors and have the front of your base creeped up. Very important and most players will try to snipe tumors. At the very least it makes them waste comsats.
