Protoss OP against Terran?
viking isn't imba. it costs a lot, you get what you paid for. Marauders have to unload from medivacs in order to do damage. This can easily be deflected with ground units standing by; unless 4 marauders can unload at once. Whereas flying units in mass, particularly mutalisk can just swoop in, do the damage and leave without the need to unload/reload. For instance, when I'm up against a protoss that leaves even 3 stalkers patrolling his/her base. Dropping becomes impossible. Or when cannons are built around the perimeter. But flying units, such as mutalisk can still swoop in since they can attack while airborne. Not trying to make any point in particular. Just felt like saying that. |
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_Global_StarCraft_II_League_Season_1/Code_S I personally do think Protoss have very strong early timing pushes. Like the 8 gate 3 immortal push you mentioned, also the 3 gate void ray builds. Which does result in a high win rate on ladder. As for the stronger Protoss becomes during late game. I remember people saying be aggressive, and keeping up the harassment to prevent Protoss from assembling the "deathball". I find the Protoss army becomes significantly weaker when split up into smaller chunks. So maybe multi pronged attacks is the way to go, rather than frontal max army engagements. And if they were to charge into your base due to all the drops. Mass bunkers can help the Terran army be very cost efficient. |
Its funny because I haven't built a single unit that does splash damage in PvT as the protoss player since I played random back in season 2. PvT is my best matchup... |
cause silver though -_- MMM rolls gateway |
