StarCraft® II

Your placement for Season 6

Care to add anything to what I said Dogsi?

Not really. You put in effort to learn the piano. You would be lying to say otherwise. Knowledge is not inherited and your ancestors ability to play the piano has no bearing on your own ability to play the piano. You are LEARNING to play it, whether self taught or trained. Now, you can of course pick it up more easily than most.

The difference is people can make masters with out even trying or learning anything. Now, yes, some people have to put in effort to do so. Does that mean it is hard? No, only that it is hard for some people.

Chess is a better analogy. For some people, chess is intuitive. It doesn't take much effort to beat most people. However, that's because Chess isn't that hard, just that most people lack the ability to understand it properly.

I mean seriously... just make probes, expand when you can, make units, get upgrades, etc. As long as you are spending your income on making more money and then spending the rapidly increasing excess on upgrades and units, you will make masters. It's not hard.

Hell, I'll tell you how to make masters, guaranteed.

If you play protoss, proxy 2 gate. If you play zerg, 6 pool. If you play terran, proxy rax. While all of these builds can easily be shut down, most people don't react properly.

As annoying as that was SiapoAsado, it was quite funny.

You guys really take this game too seriously =D Why dont you play the game doing 6pool all day long?? =D Or maybe the terrifying reaper/scv all-in?? =D who knows, someone might get a laugh out of it =D

maybe imma try mass sentries later =D you never know how they react if I summon 7 illusioned collosus in their base right?? =D

It's impossible to have a 1v1 multiplayer game that's easy. To be masters you have to be better at the game than the vast majority of players. It's not actually possible for everyone to make Masters, and just because you find it easy doesn't mean it's easy in general. Sure, it's just making probes and units, but you have to do so better than 98% of people to be Master league.

Of course I do. Otherwise I wouldn't be in the top 2%. However, I don't consider making masters hard as I don't consider it hard to do what I do. What I really don't understand is why everyone else can't do it. It's not like I have APM, do timing pushes, have good builds, etc. I just "do stuff" with the general idea of making money and spending it. I try to guess what they will do and then build stuff that kills their stuff fairly well.

There is a learning curve of course. For instance, I imagine if I just started today, I wouldn't make masters. It'd probably take me 50 or so games to "experience" enough of the crap people do to know what to look out for. However, after 50-100 games, I don't see why you can't play as well as, or better than, I do.

Well, I placed Bronze in my T/P account, no surprise there, but there was no match as it was an instant win through *yet another* portrait farmer or win-trader type leaving the game. I'd rather earn my win..........

In other news, I was bored and re-qualified on NA

Apparently, Silver in SEA is platinum in NA

and I won 4 of my placement matches, losing only to a 1-1-1 (First time I encountered it, and I responded very poorly)

Thats a stupid argument. The fact is it is hard to achieve masters. Masters are the top 2% of active players in every region. Arguing that it's not hard to be in the top 2% of the population is idiotic. Every player that plays @ master league level has learned how to play @ that level. Whether they started with prior knowledge of the RTS Genre or they were new to RTS completely and dedicated time and practice to achieving their goal.

You believe this simply because you find making masters to be difficult.

No, I believe this because it's true... There's not a soul alive that would agree with what you're saying... The top 2% of an entire region is hard to get into. It's that simple. Thats why it's the top 2%. Show me a single person alive who has made it to masters in 50 games with no prior RTS experience and I'll show you a liar.

Dogsi you're sounding like an entitled douche more and more every day. Are you a compulsive liar or something?
