So how do they do it?

I don't know about y'all but if I was aboard a massive war ship and a tentacle comes flying through the window into the neck of the captain of the ship I would start a mutiny, not let him start blowing up your own forces ._.

Probably because no matter whether the captain is neural parasited or not, you are in deep trouble if you go against his orders or kill him (retarded laws I guess)

Restrain him maybe?

Restrain him maybe?

Maybe bliz should just make neural parasite disable captial ships.
Or perhaps the virus can infect everyone on board for a while?

The captain of the ship never receives his hourly coffee, causing him to take out his anger on humanity.

What do you think? =D?

Funny that all the people who saw the tentacle don't bother about it.

He could have just taken it from the woman's tray.

I posted about this last year

that's the thing..

if u get the captain. won't people just.. like... 'shoot him?'
I mean, if my captain got something stuck to his head, and he tells me to yamato the seige tank underneath, I will think something is wrong eh?

just saying.. how the fcuk?

It releases fungal spores which the crew inhales, temporarily shutting down their immune system and converting their will to the control of the swarm.

The overlords then send psionic messages to convey the cerebrate's commands.

The infestor's tentacle is quite long and just connects there to continuously pump the spores. Once the supply of spores is exhausted (which lasts exactly 12 secs) the infestor disconnects since it has no spores to pump anymore. The immune system of the crew then works and eliminates the inhaled spores.

But the captains assistant (who has been neural parasited) throws the coffee onto the ground and tells him to make his own damn coffee.

OR

Alternate
The captains assistant (who has been neural parasited) throws the coffee into the captains face, temporarily blinding him and forcing the captain to pass his control over to his apprentice ( an undercover advanced changeling) who betrays the Terran force and rampages through the Terran player's own flanks.

This is alot funner than QQing and talking about balance =D

EDIT: Sorry Siopao!!! >_< I didn't know there would have been a thread on this already @_@
Now that you bring it up I do vaguely remember seeing that quote somewhere before ~.^

Considering the size of the battlecruiser and the size of the infestor, I seriously have no idea how long it will take to pump all the spores into the entire ship to infect everyone aboard it.
Maybe the virus just overtakes the computer system for 12 seconds, before the technicians finally remove the bug.

If they can control a fully mech unit like Colosus & others...
I'd say the crew r irrelevant. :)

other than requiring to incapacitate them first, before they wake up & cut the tendril off.

I think, once it gets a hold of the person to get controlled, they grow tentacles (I think it shows that as it's attached)
and holds back all people in the room from regaining control.
