It's offical Terran is Dead

I know this will stir some up but once again after the latest update terran once again has been cut back to the point of being a non-viable option ......... Blizzard seems hell bent on destroying the abilities of terran slowing down builds, attack ranges etc, I have now started to play random and as a long time terran player I can tell you I CAN notice the difference it's ridiculous..

As a protoss player I don't have an opinion on the snipe nerf but agree strongly with the EMP nerf and BFH nerf. None of the core Terran units have been nerfed in a while (marines, marauders, tanks, vikings, medivacs have all been the same for a while) and so there's not really an excuse for losing when its standard vs. standard. What I think is highly important for Terran, more so than other races, is unpredictability and harassment. Terran has a LOT of strong options for harassment which can be really strong if properly managed. Just a couple of Banshees on the field can gain a lot of map control, possibly forcing air units from the opponent. Reapers can be good for managing expansions and scouting, as well as locking down the watchtowers unless a full army is moving out. Drops, need I say more. The problem is that now you can't just A-move in your MMMVG deathball and win, but you still have a ton of options.

I suggest you try polaying terran in 1 vs 1 for a while then come back and discuss just how many options you REALLY have...

I have. Look at my profile, I have 70 wins as Terran (compared to 140 as protoss) and have successfully won as Terran several times in Diamond league despite it not being my main race. I think I know a bit more about high level Terran play than a Bronze leaguer. It's far from weak now, it's just no longer A-move so you have to do the same things other races have to, like TECH and EXPAND. It doesn't make any sense for 1 base Marine Marauder to work so don't complain because it's ineffective. The whole point of Terran is their flexibility, so why don't you use it?

I rofl at terrans who still thinks that marauders are OP against protoss and a-moves his entire army of marauders into my mass immortals.
Some even try to act smart and try to EMP my immortals, so what I do is throw down templars and feedback at them, or get !@#$load of archons and laugh at them trying to EMP all my units one by one (epic unit spread)
I rofl at terrans who think bioball is the best without doing any harrassments and let me build up a completely OP carrier colossus mothership stalker immortal ht archon 3-3-3 deathball with 30 warp gates.

Honestly, terrans have been using the exact same build for 6 seasons that nowadays almost every single protoss/zerg knows how to beat. If the terrans manage to come up with some different strats, they will probably dominate the ladder again.

TBH I have more success with a mech force with some ghost backup than with a bio force, especially on the smaller maps. Stancia is exactly right that most Terrans still use the same old builds every game and then think OMG race OP when Protos/Zerg scout what they are upto and own em.

Remember that Terran basically dictates the early game and the play generally revolves around what composition/strategy they go.

Also try and master multi pronged drops. This will show you just how good stimmed rines/rauders are ._.

I don't find this at my level. I find an infuriatingly wide range of timing pushes I have to account for, but once I'm past the 15 minute mark the Terran may as well GG.

ahh I may well be a bronze league player but that is due to the fact I am 48years old and cant control the keyboard like you young guys...if you look at my profile a little closer I have over 1500 wins as a terran in 1 VS 1 ALONE...I have been playing this game everyday since its inception and played SC1 when it first came out so DO NOT talk down at me mate I DO know what I am talking about,,,,,,

You tried to negate my understanding of Terran play, and I simply asserted that I have played Terran at a fairly high level, and as such my opinion is as valid as yours. Terran is a strong race with a lot of options, and it's important to note that they are strong in the early game and comparatively weak in the late game. Because of this, you MUST capitalise on your early advantage with a timing push or continuous drops to be able to survive the late game.

i agree with that but terran has lost much of that advantage , at every update blizzard has slowed build times and weakened terran units........EVERY single update terran has lost ground...thats the point I am trying to make...........

you know I just re-read your comment and its not as stupid as you sound, the problem is at the start of every game a terran player must be defensive especially against zerglings, this defensive strat and what happens next always dictates your next move , lately in 1v1 a toss player will be knocking up the ramp with nothing more than two or three stalkers and 4/5 zealots and wipe out everything you have so an aggressive defence/attack strat has to be used...any game that moves into the time span you are talking about no matter what build (you as a protoss player ) deploys will end in terrans having their !@#$ handed to them unless by some miracle (or foolishness) they have managed to out upgrade you....this is due to the slowing down of terran builds the DE-powering of terran units in every upgrade, terrans are still ok to use in team events but as a 1v1 unit they ARE DEAD

It sounds like you're just making mistakes if you're dying to protoss early. 1 or 2 bunkers and suddenly earlygame protoss aggression is done for. I believe that part of how Terran is balanced is to require drops, because they're so accessible. For that reason, you need to be constantly harassing with drops or you will fail. It is possible to outmatch the opponent economically through sustained drops to kill workers and especially to snipe colossi.
