WoL Campaign decision outcome affect HotS?

Hi All,
After I watched back BlizzCon HotS Campaign Lore & Panel, I was thinking about this question and the developer didnt quite answer clearly. They did say it will affect the story some part, but I was wondering if it will affect the gameplay after all the decision made during WoL campaign? Anyone have any info/strong answer regarding about this? X) |

if the technology allows it, they will import from WoL decisions. But the default scenario is

Most likely from what they said is they'll choose canon choices from WoL that carry over. If they do end up making your decision have an impact it will be in very non-important ways that don't impact the main storyline, so either way it won't really matter anyway.

It would be great if it were done Mass Effect style and story choices will have a big impact in future expansions. But honestly, I don't think Blizz will go that route.
They will probably just decide which choice is canon and write a single story from there. |

Well Nova is back in the mix, and she is heavily working for Mengsk still. Which one you picked wouldn't matter, because the fact that she's hunting for Kerrigan, on board the Hyperion means that even if you picked her as a part-ally that's definitely the case anymore (no way Raynor is letting her board his ship to kill the person he saved).
As for Hanson... They're in the fringe world so it doubt it's ever gonna come back up. Also which one you pick overlooks the greater issue that they already screwed up the lore there because of the fact that her colonists were infected by a 'zerg virus', as opposed to parasites that infect people from spores, that takes over hosts (and yes that is significant both medically and epidemiologically). As for on Char... That matters about as much as if you picked Science Vessel or Raven |

The problem with carrying over decisions is that you have to consider that people have played through the campaign multiple times. Which game will you take.
It is also possible to go through the campaign without making all the decisions.

What are you (or anyone else) citing for what you believe is cannon?

We’ve had a discussion about that and there’s a couple ways we’d like to handle it but we have to have canon in that this is the definite choice. So what we’ve come up with is what we call the “A” choice is always canon. So in that case it would be siding with Hanson so that she is alive.
