Hi Guys. Trying the new patch, and there are some things wrong with the new queen ground attack.
Firstly, although it's a 2x attack, the animation shows only one attack. This just will be confusing for the players; hence please either make it into 1x attack, or change the animation back.
Also, the PDD works on the Queen Ground attack, which I think shouldn't happen:
What a lazy path Blizzard. You didn't even announce about the PDD. Please Change the animation back to the Queen's claws.. She can stretch a little, no? Also at least fix the attack to a 1x attack. Thanks.
Just realized that the "patch" was a new map in the custom games. Didnt know that =D I thought it was released in PTR or something (which I havent bothered trying at all)
I'll give it a whirl later. The OL speed change looks to be promising (that is the only complain I have for Zerg anywayz...otherwise Zerg is fine as is)
they havent updated the animation since its only a tentative change.. they'll update it when the patch goes through
I tried, the animation for melee attack is similar to the air attack. If you see closely its like shooting 2 acid spines instead of talons. And it seems the melee has been changed to range (hence thats why i think PDD works) I tried with evo chamber it seems range upgrade works on both acid spines and the talons.
Yeah if this "patch" has already gone through in NA, then Blizzard doesn't know how to make complete patches.
I liked the Queens when they used their Talons! Can't they stretch them a bit? This change may have fixed some balance, but it certainly broke some of the presentation.
I believe that Talons always counted as range (even though it shouldn't have). If you would have looked closely, it doesn't say that the attack is melee when you put the cursor over it. Also, ground missile attacks had always affected Talons and Acid Spines. I know this because I map-make. People who spend all day in the Map Editor seem to notice stuff easier (because you look in the data section constantly).
I may be out of date or something. :D
but I saw the Queen shoot 2 spines for ground attack, not 1.
I don't mind PDD able to shoot those spines as long as...
When we get within range 3, we're back to good old Talon animation, that's not effected by either PDD or GS
Just like Roaches & Hydras, go melee when within melee range. :)
