Great to see that the recent WCS New Zealand Nationals made it to TVNZ.
Check out the interview that was done prior to the event earlier this month here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD_av0oTdUM&feature=plcp |

I think the interviewers put on that show honestly. they probably did not know anything about it, but when they heard they were gonna do a story, they went did some research, and then acted out a script as to best engage the audience.

God awful interviewers, "are there any girls there?" I wish IdrA could give him a response.
Great to see Sc2 making it into main stream media in any case, well done NZ community!!! Also who is PJ, is that you Arcagnion? PS: TheGoonSquad just call yourself a programmer, people never know what to say then because it sounds like you're smart. >.< |

Haha, it's still an unsolved mystery then >.< However, well done Blizz for getting such a main stream interview like that and very well done to the Blizz guy for keeping the interview on track. |

I thought the gaming scene in New Zealand was almost non-existant, but I'm so happy to see SC2 & eSports publicized on a local news channel.
I'm 21, live down in Cambridge, Waikato. Have been living in NZ for just over a month. I used to do quite a bit of casting when I was in the UK for the ESL UK local tournaments, Clan eXe's weekly tournaments with their media team & the early SCVRush tournaments and helped set up and run Manchester Barcraft as well as help run ESL UK. I am wanting to put my skills and experience to use over here in NZ and hopefully help the eSports scene over here flourish as it has done in the UK. Is there any NZ tournaments looking for a caster, someone looking to set up a Hamilton Barcraft, or something along those lines that some of you know about? I wanted to also ask if everyone's internet is as poor as mine too :P I'd be able to stream but I don't think my 120gb limited internet could cope! My PC is well and beyond capable of streaming too, which is a damn shame! Thanks |
I have the largest internet plan of anyone I know in person and it's 60gb... Man this is bad. Do you wanna start a campaign with me to try make it Unlimited? :P Internet these days is a big sector of growth for the economy, so many things being done online now. I hope it does improve in the next few years. |
